You know how magic works right? And how they always have a darkside and a lightside and things have never been nearly as simple as they talk about it in stories? Things supposedly were a lot simpler once upon a time. They never talk about how it got complicated. All we're left with is vague ideas of a much more fantastic world, of dreams, architecture from a dangerous world leaving us only the bones.

The world of Brian Stone is just like ours complete with all it's trials and tribulations. Apart from the singular change of a different hotel on the Las Vegas strip, it's a normal place with one exception. On June 28th 1914 Harry Houdini, PT Barnum, President Woodrow Wilson and a number of world leaders met to close the portal between magical dimensions and their own. The ensuing out spill of energy caused a rift that drove the remaining magical creatures in his realm mad - leading them into slaughter.
